It’s Black History Month, and we’re taking a look at Sickle Cell Disease, a devastating genetic blood disorder that predominantly impacts people of African descent. Sickle cell disease is an unfortunate reality for many members of Black communities, and at Bloodworks, we’d like to make it history.
